Energiearmut beseitigen: Energiezugang als soziales Recht
Fast 11 Prozent der BügerInnen und Bürger in der EU sind von Energiearmut betroffen. Sie können ihre Wohnungen nicht angemessen heizen bzw. nicht zu erschwinglichen Preisen beheizen. Steigende Energiekosten verschärfen das Problem der Armut in der EU, vor allen Dingen vor dem Hintergrund stagnierender oder fallender Realeinkommen.
Die Delegation DIE LINKE. im Europaparlament, der Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung Brüssel organisieren in Zusammenarbeit mit transform!europe einen Workshop, auf dem VertreterInnen der Zivilgesellschaft mit PolitikerInnen aus Spanien, Bulgarien, Ungarn und Deutschland diskutieren, wie man der wachsenden Energiearmut begegnen kann und was dafür auf politischer Ebene zu tun ist.
